Land-based Accommodations and Floating Houses

Weekly rentals run Friday to Friday or Monday to Monday. Weekend rentals are Friday to Monday. Weekday rentals are Monday to Friday. Check-in at 4 pm, check-out at 10 am. Any variance must be management approved.

A 50% deposit is due upon booking a reservation for accommodations, with the remaining 50% balance, any additional fees, state and local sales tax, and damage deposit of $300 due upon check-in. For deposit payment we accept Mastercard, VISA, Discover, personal check with ID, money orders and cash.

The deposit, less a $25 processing fee, is refundable with 45-days advance notice of cancellation. It is also refundable with less than 45-days advance notice if we are subsequently able to rent the property on cancelled dates. If not, deposit is retained to help defray costs of lost revenue due to cancellation.

The damage deposit is refunded after property is inspected, inventoried and found to be in good condition. Please allow 1 week for processing.

At managements discretion and if approved in advance some pets are allowed with payment of a $50 pet fee.

Rental Boat Policies
 

A 50% deposit is due upon booking a boat reservation of more than 2 days.

A 50% deposit is required on rentals booked less than 14-days in advance.

Rental deposits can be paid by Mastercard, VISA, Discover, personal check with proper ID, money order or cash.

Due at rental check-in is the remaining 50% balance, any additional fees, sales tax and damage deposit of $150 for pontoon boats, $235 for ski boat and $50 for fishing boat.

Damage deposits can be paid only by Mastercard, VISA or Discover credit cards. Boats are not rented to customers without credit cards.

The boat rental deposit, less a $15 processing fee, is refundable with 30-days advance notice of cancellation. It is also refundable with less than 30-days advance notice if we are subsequently able to rent the boat on cancelled dates. If not, deposit is retained to help defray costs of lost revenue due to cancellation.

Customers will be charged a $175 replacement cost for lost pontoon boat ladders.

The boat damage deposit is refunded after the boat is inspected and found to be in the same condition it was when rented.

Half-day rental times are strictly enforced. Avoid late charges by returning boats on time for next customers waiting. Late charges are as follows:

  • 15 to 30 minutes late $20
  • 30 to 60 minutes late $25
  • Over 60 minutes late $25 per hour or portion thereof.

No pets or grills on any rental boat.

General Policies

A signed rental contract agreement and the full amount of all rental charges and taxes must be paid in full prior to occupying properties or boarding boats.

We do not refund deposits or payments in full due to poor weather conditions since such conditions are beyond our control. If weather completely prevents any use of rental boats we will give customers a "Rain Check", that is we will try to schedule another date for customers in the future. Rain Checks are given subject to availability and management discretion.

Multiple rentals of properties or boats normally qualify for a discount. Fall, winter and spring discounts are normally 25% off normal prices. Discounts are given at management discretion.

All rates, rental properties and boats are subject to change without notice.

In the event of a problem with a customer reservation, or a rental property or boat, every reasonable effort is made to resolve the situation to the customer's satisfaction.

Occasionally, rental boat customers return a boat excessively dirty, usually from parking close to shore and tracking red clay mud on board. Rental boats are provided to customers as clean as possible. We don't expect boats to be clean when returned but we don't expect them to be recklessly and excessively dirty. When boats are returned is such conditions we charge a clean up fee of $50.

Occasionally, rental boat customers return a boat with a damaged prop. Customers are shown the condition of the prop prior to rental commencement and initial that they agree with IRM staff with respect to its condition. When props are damaged we charge to have them repaired pontoon props are $75 and the ski boat prop is $100. We ask customers to please exercise caution on the lake to avoid prop damage and additional charges.

FISHING LICENSE

 You can obtain a fishing license before you arrive on TWRA’s toll free number.  You will need a driver license and credit card.  Everyone 13 or older needs a license.  Ask for a “non resident Norris Lake – no trout” to save you some time and questions.  The phone number is 888-814-8972. Trailer Parking
Due to our limited parking space there is a $10.00 per day fee for boat trailers stored on marina property.

Pumping Contracts 2008

Basic contract is $375 for 2 times a month from April to October. 2007 Pumping contracts are due April 1, 2007. There is a $50 late charge for payments received after April 1st. The first pump out is schedule for April 16 and thereafter every other Wednesday. Emergency pumps are available from IRM outside of this schedule at $15.00 per trip and $1.00 per gallon.
